2018 has been an up and down year in the world of professional wrestling, it has been mired with controversy and tragedy but has also seen some prosperity within the independent world. From WWE’s Saudi Arabia debacle to the success of the All In PPV, 2018 has seen both ends of the spectrum.

  • Drew cuts a promo declaring himself in the Royal Rumble and saying that his rise starts now and he will win the Universal Championship
  • Seth Rollins challenges Ambrose for IC Title match. HHH Comes out and reminds Seth that rematch clauses no longer exist under the new regime
  • Shane McMahon announces a Battle Royal (minus Seth). the winner of which will face Dean tonight.
  • Apollo Crews wins the Battle Royal – Beating Finn Balor, Baron Corbin, Zack Ryder, Titus O’Neil, No Way Jose, Mojo, Curt Hawkins, B-Team, Lucha House Party and The Ascension
  • Tamina and Nia attack Natalya backstage
  • Elias and Corbin brawl in the ring after Corbin gets pissy at not winning the Battle Royal

  • Lashley beats Rollins via DQ after Rollins uses a chair

  • New Day open the show, announcing they’re in the Royal Rumble and do some ‘steiner math’ to figure out their odds of winning

  • Mandy Rose gets in the ring and says she sent an inappropriate picture to Jimmy

  • Becky throws Cena out the ring during his finish to pick up the win over Zelina Vega
  • Becky hits Cena’s you can’t see me pose to Cena at the end of the match when he goes for a handshake
  • Shane McMahon and the Miz segment airs
  • Asuka is seen backstage with Triple H and says that she will defend her title against anybody at anytime as nobody is ready for Asuka
  • Charlotte, Carmella and Becky all appear to throw their names in the running for a title shot at the Royal Rumble
  • Triple H says he’ll take all things into consideration and let them know
  • Fatal 5-Way Match – Winner faces WWE Champion at Royal Rumble – AJ Styles defeats Samoa Joe, Mustafa Ali, Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio

Women’s Tag Titles Announced on Raw and More

On the Christmas Eve edition of Monday Night Raw Vince McMahon made a series of announcements in a pre-taped segment whilst …. dressed as Santa Claus.

In recent months there has been much rumour and speculation about the creation of a Women’s Tag Team division, with many expecting the announcement to have come during the Evolution PPV.

Whilst this was not the case Mr McMahon announced the introduction of the titles last night, which will be coming during the new year, however no word yet on an official introduction date.

Spoilers for Next Week’s Smackdown – HUGE Title Change and More

These are the spoilers for next week’s Smackdown Live show which will air on Christmas Day. Be aware that below are the complete spoilers for the December 25th edition of Smackdown Live.

  • The Usos and The Club v The Bar & Sanity. Karl anderson will pick up the win. New Day were on commentary during the match dressed in christmassy outfits.
  • – Daniel Bryan interrupts R-Truth and Carmella, who are dressed up as Santa and his helper, and cuts a promo on them. This leads to Bryan attacking Truth
  • Mustafa Ali v Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas – Ali picks up the win
  • Miz TV with Shane McMahon. After last weeks segment with Vince, Shane agrees to be the Miz’s Tag partner.
  • Samoa Joe v Jeff Hardy – Jeff wins via count out, but Joe chokes him out post-match
  • United States Title Match: Rusev beats Nakamura and is named the NEW United States Champion

Spoilers for Next Week’s Raw – Street Fights, Paul Heyman and More

  • Elias opens the show with a Christmas song leading into a Miracle on 34th Street Fight between Elias and Lashley. Elias picks up the win after hitting Lashley with a violin.
  •  (Raw Tag Team Title Match): Bobby Roode and Chad Gable defeat The Revival. 
  • Drew McIntyre v Dolph Ziggler v Finn Balor – Finn will pick up the win, pinning Ziggler for the victory.
  • Sasha, Ember and Bayley pick up a win over Alicia Fox, Dana Brooke and Mickie James
  • Paul Heyman cuts a promo on how Brock Lesnar is going to defeat Braun Strowman at Royal Rumble.
  • Braun comes to the ring and humiliates Heyman, dressing him up in Christmas clothes
  • Women’s Title Match: Ronda Rousey defeats Natalya with an Armbar
  • Heath Slater v Jinder Mahal –  Heath picks up the win via DQ after the Singh brothers interfere
  • Rhyno returns and hits Jinder with a gore
  • In the main event Seth Rollins will defeat Baron Corbin with a curb stomp

News: Vince and Triple H Announce Changes to RAW

WWE have been hyping the return of Vince McMahon to Monday Night Raw for the past week, they have been saying that Vince is here to “shake things up” with the red brand.

This monday’s Raw opened with Vince McMahon, Stephanie, Triple H and Shane in the middle of the ring saying that they have failed the WWE universe. They say that the four of them have failed in putting on a decent show for the fans and that big changes are coming. 

Triple H said that from now the fans will be the authority, they will get to make the decisions. New matchups, new superstars and a new feel.
