Rumours have been swirling for months about the possible creation of a brand new wrestling company being founded by the former Bullet Club members, now the Elite – Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Adam Page and Marty Scurll.
The company is to be owned and ran by Tony Khan, the son of Shahid Khan, the billionaire owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham FC.
Trademarks were filed several months ago for phrases and logos including ALL ELITE WRESTLING, Double or Nothing and numerous others.
In the latest episode of Being the Elite the group announced All Elite Wrestling with a skit alongside an event named Double or Nothing which is clearly the second installment of All In – the groups successful PPV event from 2018.
The group have been hyping a countdown timer for weeks that finally ran out at midnight PST and they finally dropped the latest episode of Being the Elite which included the HUGE announcement. Not much else is known right now of this new promotion.
More information regarding All In 2: Double or Nothing is coming out on January 8th at an event in Jacksonville, per the ALL IN Twitter page
Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Cody has signed to AEW but as of writing the Bucks had NOT signed, but were expected to within days. He is also reporting a lot of interest has been coming their way from TV companies and TV deals ARE on the table from several sources.
This all sounds like HUGE news and a great start to the new year for wrestling fans.
