The Hart Foundation to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

This post has been updated from the original report on February 4th 2019 now WWE have officially confirmed the induction.

WWE have confirmed today the next inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The original Hart Foundation – Bret Hart and Jim ‘The Anvil’ Neidhart are set to be the inducted into the Hall of Fame at Barclays center the night before Wrestlemania 35.

There have been legal disputed with the wife and family of Owen Hart stretching back since the superstars untimely and tragic death. As a result of this WWE have never been able to put Owen in their Hall of Fame. This may well be the easiest way they have of honouring Owen without having him directly inducted.

Of course, not inducting the 1990’s version of the Hart Foundation means that other very prominent members of the team also miss out also,. The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith and Brian Pillman were key members of the Hart foundation in the late 90’s and dominated TV for quite some time. Owen, Pillman and Bulldog have been on the tip of fans tongues every year the hall of fame rolls around.

It is a shame that these 3 legends will not be honoured directly this year but with hope they will all be spoken of on the night as if they too are being inducted.

The duo of Bret and Anvil were a staple of the late 1980s in WWF, joining after Stampede Wrestling was taken over by WWF. Both men became legends in their own right.

This will make Bret Hart a two-time inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame after Bret was inducted in 2006. Jim Neidhart sadly passed away last year at the age of 63.

They will join D Generation X, Torrie Wilson, Honky Tonk Man, Harlem Heat and Sue Aitchison in the 2019 hall of fame class
